Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 sales down
Even if this is true, Black Ops 2 has proven to be the better of all COD games released since Call of Duty 4.
Just like this article says, people are now less willing to spend money on games because of the poor efforts developers are now making when making new games.
If the publishers don't push the developers to make better games just because they think their franchises are doing good they will never put more effort into making better games.
People are now using gamefly to play games and that has also hurt sales not just for Black Ops 2 but for every game coming out.

Games Reviews Has the COD bubble burst? This is the question playing on the lips of gaming industry analysts following a report in MCV that the latest entry in the series has hit something of a wobble in terms of sales.

In spite of all this there are a couple of reasons not to write off the COD franchise just yet. First off, despite the comparatively sluggish first week sales, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 enjoyed the biggest UK launch of 2012 - the fourth largest of all time - and only the first Black Ops game had stronger first week sales. Second, as MCV points out, the retail conditions aren't exactly all that favourable, with the gaming retail market down 28.7 per cent for the same period last year.
It is, however, quite telling that Activision, who in the past have released bullish press releases detailing records broken and sales racked up, have been conspicuously silent this year. Estimates put day one global earnings of Black Ops 2 at $500m, but Activision hasn't confirmed exactly how many copies of the game have been sold.
