Can't Catch a Break

So after I hurt my leg, now my truck will not go into park for some reason (automatic). It goes into the park position on my column but it doesn't show on my panel, it just stays lit in reverse. luckily i don't work weekends so it makes it a little better so it gives my knee a little time to heal before i have to walk to work. I don't believe it is my transmission bc my truck still runs in all gears, and I think it just has something to do with my column or a cable leading to the transmission.

When you start it dose it act like its in reverse still or in park . If it acts like its in park just not showing on the column then yes its a cable or something . If its the other shift that baby in neutral and parking break time . It will get you through till you get it looked at .

If it makes you feel any better I strained my knee walking...I'm scared that if I run it could be a acl/mcl thing and also Destiny still hasn't worked for me and my partner for a class does nothing and I'm going to have to do everything possible just to get another A in the class :( the struggles.. I feel you on not catching a break :(

It works properly in all gears. Reverse is reverse etc. Its just wont go into park, I feel like it has to do something with the column bc I removed the cover around the shifter and can watch it go into all spots it just doesnt full go into park

I had some shit like that happen with my truck while I was living in louisiana...
96 dodge ram sport with a 13 inch lift, so atleast it was easy to work on lol
