Call of Duty® Clan Wars returns after a short break and this week the Bronze to Platinum division Clan War will be heading to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. We begin at 12PM PDT / 8PM BST on Wednesday, April 23rd, and will go until 12PM PDT / 8PM BST on Monday, April 28th.
If you're still chasing down promotion to Platinum and beyond, be sure you win your division. Also remember, finishing in second or third place will ensure your Clan doesn't drop down a division, as long as you earn at least 1 CP over the course of the Clan War.
Diamond Division Clan Wars: Vancouver
We're going to Vancouver for the next Diamond Division Clan War. This time around we’re shortening the timeframe of the war to two days: Saturday, April 26th and Sunday April 27th. As usual, you will have to be at your best to earn a piece of the rare War Cry gear.
Call of Duty® Clan Wars Battle Royale
This weekend, we’re also launching our first ever Clan Wars Battle Royale. Open to all Diamond Division Clans that wish to opt-in, this new type of war is region-free and will match the best against the best for the ultimate in Diamond Division leaderboard bragging rights.
Like the general Diamond Division War, our Clan Wars Battle Royale will run for two days only, on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th.
How to Take Part in Clan Wars Battle Royale
If you wish to reap the additional rewards that comes with being in Clan Wars Battle Royale, then your Diamond Division Clan must opt into the Clan Wars Battle Royale region (opt-in details below).
Clan Wars Battle Royale Times:
(All times below occur during the same time period)
US Pacific: 11AM - 3PM PDT Saturday and 11AM - 3PM PDT Sunday
US Eastern: 2PM - 6PM EDT Saturday and 2PM - 6PM EDT Sunday
European: 7PM - 11 AM BST Saturday and 7PM – 11 AM BST Sunday
To opt-in your Clan leader must go into the Clan Wars section of the app, choose 'Diamond Division Invite' from the menu, and choose the Clan Wars Battle Royale time zone option. If you're a European region Clan, remember that you will still need to opt into the Clan Wars Battle Royale region if you wish to participate.
All contenders will need to opt-in by 12PM PDT / 8PM BST on Friday, April 25th if they want to make it into the Clan Wars Battle Royale.
For this Clan Wars Battle Royale event, the brackets have been simplified into four sizes: "bantamweight" (3-12 players), "middleweight" (13-20 players), "heavyweight" (21-50 players), and "champion" (51-100 players). These brackets will be in play only for the Clan Wars Battle Royale region.
Participating in the Clan Wars Battle Royale will have its own advantages including (1) bonus Diamond points for the top three and (2) a significant bonus for the victors.
So if your Clan wants to rocket up the Diamond Division leaderboard by proving itself against the toughest possible competition, get ready for Clan Wars Battle Royale now.
If the Clan Wars Battle Royale is not for you, don’t worry. You can play Diamond Division as usual, except it will be running over two days instead of the usual three.
Diamond Division Opt-in
If your Clan wants to opt into Diamond Division, check the Clan War options in the Call of Duty® app, after you've finished in first place in Platinum twice. The only way to opt-in is through the app, and be sure to select the region you'd like to compete in when you do so. You don't have to select the region you live in, just choose the one that suits the time of day your Clan wants to play.
Once opted into Diamond you can opt-out at any time, but when you do so your Clan is not guaranteed a place in Platinum. Instead you will be matched into the division your Clan would have been eligible for had you not been in Diamond Division.
