    Antares Rocket Launch, Visible From Most of Upper East U.S.A.


    There will be an Antares Rocket launching at 6:45 pm E.S.T. From Wallops flight facility in Virginia. Its visible from most of the upper eastern US...

    Here is a map of visibility areas, and first sight at 5* above horizon timed after launch. Enjoy it!

    Shortly after ignition and takeoff, around 6 seconds, the Antares rocket suffered an accident and exploded. Mission vehicle and Cygnus module lost. I.S.S. Contingency supply plan enacted.

    No persons have been injured, significant facility damage reported.
