You can continue to earn games toward your sharpshooter and expert while still a recruit. But you cannot however earn experts until you have all your sharpshooters confirmed. Also when you post your sharpshooter thread it DOES NOT go the the same sub forum as your marksman,there is a sub forum in the main awards thread dedicated to sharpshooters. Lastly those are the only medals you can work toward as a recruit, any game specific medals can only be earned when you have those medals and u til you get your DOGG ribbon you will jot be awarded them...
