A freedom fighter uses physical force (such as war) to cause a change in social or political order. Freedom fighters do this to achieve political freedom either for themselves or for the freedom of others. Terrorists use fear and violence to get what they’re after, which will not always include for freedom. A terrorist will harm anyone even if unnecessary to “prove a point” to who ever they’re battling with. But, it gets a lot more complicated when it comes to our troops being blown up with innocent people in Iraq/Afghanistan as we will see them as terrorists, and people of their own group will see them as freedom fighters. Where the fine line stands, I do not know.
