Is MW3 better than MW2?

Do you guys think MW3 is better than MW2? I personally think it is the same fucking game with new maps and weapons. They haven't changed a thing, the hit detection is the same if not worse than MW2.

I think there is too much lag in this mw3. An example of this would be if you go to hide behind a wall it says they shot you before you got there even though your screen shows you made it. I like, however, how they expanded the gameplay by creating survival (better than zombies in my opinion) and the spec ops are interesting as well.

I personally think the game took a step backwards, like I said in my earlier posts, the hit detection is just horrendous, so even "new technology" has done shit for mw3.

Graphics are the same to me and honesty they look to damn robot like on cod games than any other game.

hahah okay i will have to start paying a little bit more attention i mean i didnt really like mw2 at all. or black ops. i hated black ops more than anything

As we all know, comparing Call of Duty games (specifically MW2, BO, MW3) are like comparing apples to oranges (cliche).

I'll briefly break the games down in categories:

GRAPHICS: Eh...I'm not convinced that graphics are better in MW3, but I guess I'll give the nod to MW3.

MUSIC: MW2. Hanz Zimmer FTW.

HAXORZ!!: MW2 is obviously worse when it comes to "haxors" and the history of bitching on this game is second to none. MW3 is better in terms of cheat-free gameplay.

SINGLE PLAYER MODES: MW3 had the best campaign in the MW series. Clearly the best single player modes with the spec ops missions (DLC addons also) and SURVIVAL MODE! Great addons. The campaign is great. Nice stealth missions, great soundtrack, nice cut scenes and storyline

MULTIPLAYER: MW3 stock maps are garbage, but I won't lie, the MW3 DLC maps greatly improved the overall MW3 map quality. Especially these last 2 drops that COD Elite dropped have been fantastic. Great map topology, camping spots (not too excessive like some maps in MW2), and choke points. MW2 maps were great too. I will give the nod for best multiplayer with MW2 simply because of stacked killstreaks and noob toobs, commando, etc. LOL. I personally enjoyed them.

OVERALL: Which is the best game? I'll go with MW2 by a HAIR simply because the multiplayer was more ragetastic and I enjoyed noob-toobing and using Marathon-Lightweight-Commando FTW.

I agree with you about the same game and just altering minor things to make a new game and make another billion dollars. However i do believe MW3 is better than MW2 in the killstreak department. Now you can be a team player with support, a slayer with assault, and a lone badass wolf with specialist. Also when you prestige it allowed you to unlock different things with the tokens. Only for those two things do I dare say MW3 is better but only by a little.

Now i believe thatMW2 is better because with MW2 you could carry claymores and grenades wherea's MW3 you cant.

Yes hit detection is horrible and so is the lag compensation (change the code)

The hit detection in these games is mean for the casual gamers not the hardcore. COD games have always been pick up and play games so that even a 4 year old can play the game. They have done good with it this way and highly doubt they will ever change anything to make it where you actually need skills to play their games.

MW3 to the very least had a step in the right direction, but still felt it was under-developed or unfinished and I honestly blame Activision on how they handled the controversial firing of Jason & Vince (Studio Heads of Infinity Ward), which they also took key members from the company and formed their own. Activision and the money hungry people that they are rushed that game, and with Sledge Hammer helping them co-develop it's quite difficult to mesh into something your not familiar with. Another fault with IW is that they rarely listened to the fans both casual & hardcore, which is why Treyarch gained momentum with Black Ops ll because of the improvements to core game play (Custom Class's, League Play, COD Casting Etc). It's like they've made an effort to improve upon their last game by taking risks into uncharted territory into the new modern time (2025). In life you gotta take risk and for Treyarch it could and will pay off come in 13 days.
