Im going to think about this for a bit. The recruiting process is laid out the way it is for a reason. I dont know that I want change a time tested method.

The recruiting process is there for ppl who are not connected at all with people in the clan. If you know the person and you know they are going to be loyal and not just give up but you are confidant that they will be with CAG and show loyalty then in my opinion let them in. If you have to interview them and ask what do they think of CAG so far. If they are like me and they love CAG and they never want to leave and are very enthusiastic about being in CAG then dont make them go through the two weeks and show them that by them being loyal to you and working their asses off on being in the clan be loyal to them right back and recommend them for the DOGG ribbon. I mean she has a marksman and a fricking Sharpshooter. She must be enthusiastic somewhat or she is just damn good. Find out though ask her what she thinks of CAG.

Yes correct ....
Guys the direct invite is something that should only be used in special circumstances ... I will leave it up to you guys to decide when to use it ... keep in mind that 95% or more of our current members have gone through the whole recruiting process and every once in a while you will have one of those recruits as members posting how it was all worth it even the 2 week wait... but a direct invite is available and you guys can choose to use it when you guys want to ... just remember that a direct invite carries your stamp of approval...

Thank you for the ability to do the direct invite. I have thought about everyone's input and spoke with my recruit. I have decided that even though this recruit has completed the marksman and the sharpshooter that the best thing for the recruit and the group is to wait out the 2 week period. I am considering this a test of loyalty to CAG. I know she will pass with flying colors. I look forward to awarding her the well deserved medals when the time comes.

I think you made the right decision. While, I understand you sometimes may run into a recruit who goes above and beyond what is asked of them and really seems to "click" with your squad or group. I feel a "direct invite" is more for someone you've known for an extended amount of time online or in person.
A week is hardly enough time to truly judge someone's character and who they are as a person and as a gamer. Great call bud, but since you guys feel so highly about her to begin with. I'm going to assume either way you went would have been a great call.

I must say that in all of this the thing I liked the most was that it was my choice to make. I was given the facts and I was told that i had the wiggle room to do what I thought was best. The fact that there was wiggle room says a lot to me. I love the fact that this clan ( Family ) if flexible. For this I am truly happy i have found a home here.
