    Planet Fitness Help


    Okay so i signed up for planet fitness, and i would like to know any recommendations on what i should start doing, me and my girl are going to start going together im going to buy supplements,would anyone tell me where i should start? im 5'6" and weigh 168lbs.

    Start with cardio start at what you can handle and work up and add in weight machines as you work up

    I agree with toxic but when you start with weight training focus on core muscles first. A strong core is where big gains start.
    Ask one of the personal trainers there to get you started. Set short and long term goals and make it a habit to go or you will stop after 2 weeks.

    Do like treadmill eleptical treadclimber change it up and do interval training and if you haven't lifted before start off light and work up like 20 pound weights for a week then move up by 5 or 10 each week do as many reps as you can 3 times on each machine or free weight there's a lot you can do

    Your best bet is sit down with a personal trainer at PF. Go over your goals with them and then a game plan. Without us knowing what your goals are we can only give you random shit to think about. Be honest with your trainer from the start and tell him what your looking to reach.

    i went with a friend since i have that bring a guest plan, the one i go to wont have personal trainers for like another 3 weeks, i did triceps, chest and free lifting my friend said dont focus on the same thing, do one different part every day, im trying honestly to build up mass and muscle, my girl is going to help me buy some supplements since thats all her ex did and he got biiig as fuck.

    Ok. If your building mass. You need a strong ass core.
    Lift heavy weights(80% of Max). Form is extremely important so you don't get an injury. You get hurt you don't lift for a long time.
    Try to google some different mass workouts and see if that helps.

    Id definitely go with Souls first comment,in any workout starting out from scratch a strong base with cardio and core with see you through any future exercise or lifting.With any form of PT its about pushing for that goal and then next time using the cardio,core and heart to push yourself through previous goals and on to the next.Cardio and core will give your body the stamina to do so.I dont have great knowledge with lifting but when it comes to cardio,core,heart and shear grit and determination to push further I have experienced this first hand within the world of amateur boxing.I would suggest build your core and cardio continually so that when do decide to approach lifting and mass increasing then your mind will be strong because you know you have the strength to push and keep going.

    Dont forget though that exercise is merely less than half the battle,your battle will be eating the correct diet for which outcome you are wanting to achieve.In my opinion along with the cardio and core your diet will be the most important thing for you to maintain.
